Canva goes enterprise; Disneyland characters unionize; We all know Ticketmaster is a monopoly.
Finite Scroll #14
Hey buds! A quick note to always say that I'm so thrilled for every subscriber — new or old. I hope you stick around forever, and I 100% welcome all feedback on this lil newsletter of mine.
Okay, let's get into an all-new edition of Finite Scroll.
Have you picked a side yet between ScarJo and OpenAI over the whole "can we use your voice for our A.I. since you were the voice of the A.I. in that movie we missed the point from"? It shouldn't be hard! It's incredible how much this situation could've been solved with a good email and Sam following directions.
Other than that and some other A.I.-related news (I promise I don't mean for this newsletter to just link to A.I. stuff!), the other thing I'm fascinated by this week is that the U.S. Department of Justice may finally file a lawsuit against Ticketmaster for monopolistic practices, including raising prices and fees, stifling innovation, and harming competition in the industry. It's only taken years for everyone to come around to what every concertgoer thinks about TM, so, good on the DOJ.
Anyway, have fun clicking around and reading some links I saw this week that I couldn't get off my mind. ✨
